What’s the thing about free music these days?

Last podcast featured Duwende Collective – available for free download at duwende.com. Radiohead’s new album was offered as a pay-what-you-want (you could pay nothing, although you still had to pay a processing fee)… no longer available to download. Legally. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is marketing his new album in various incarnations and monetary amounts, from free to $300 (and his free doesn’t include a processing fee like Radiohead’s did) – here: http://ghosts.nin.com/

Been busy, busy, busy – Harmony Sweepstakes, high school competitions, coaching college and high school groups, sang the entire Bach St. Matthew Passion a couple weeks ago (not by myself… I had help), my wife is due to deliver our fourth baby any day now… yup, busy.  I’ve had tons of song ideas that I can’t work on until life slows down in a couple more weeks.

Not to mention I’m glad that LOST and Heroes are both back on the air.

I also talk a little about the Contemporary A Cappella Awards, which just released their 2007 nominations – congratulations to all the nominees, and I’m going to see what I can do to get all the original music nominated onto the podcast. In fact, I’d love to be able to do a whole show with the nominated tracks – all you fans, pressure your favorite groups to get their tracks in the CASA A Cappella Originals mp3 library and on this podcast!
