In 1997, actor/singer Faca Kulu scooped a lead role in the original production of Disney's The Lion King, on Broadway in New York. While in New York, he taught a master class in African singing and culture which won him a cultural outstanding award, in 1999, from the Harlem community.
Yes, Kulu has a theatrical CV as long as your arm and now he's directing his show Native Blues at the Catalina Theatre, running from Thursday to November 2.

ATCO/Atlantic Records has announced the signing of acclaimed a cappella group Straight No Chaser. The Indiana University-born, ten-man ensemble -- which caused a YouTube sensation with their unique take on "The 12 Days of Christmas" -- will release their debut album, entitled "HOLIDAY SPIRITS," on October 28th.
