HomeBerklee student wins jingle contest (and $2,500)

Sore throat? Maybe a little a cappella singing will clear that up.

Berklee student and a cappella whiz Derek Jayson was voted winner of the La La Luden’s jingle contest. It’s not exactly fame, but there is a good bit of fortune that goes with it — $2,500 in prize money and a year’s supply of Luden’s products (nice if you’re using your throat all day).

Jayson’s a cappella group, Haviland, produced a jingle that beat out a couple thousand entries. As soon as the company goes public with the tune I’ll post a link. Until then you’ll have to imagine what it sounds like — I’m thinking of a cross between The Manhattan Transfer and Bruce Willis’ Seagram’s Golden Wine Cooler song.
