Arizona collegiate groups organize a weekend retreat:
On October 26th and 27th, eight a cappella groups representing the three state universities of Arizona will meet in Tucson to perform, educate and network. Self-organized and spun off a more formal festival in April, this smaller-scale ‘Arizona A Cappella Festival (AZAF),’ affectionately called bAbyZAF, is more focused on creating connections between individual groups, development-focused workshops and providing specific feedback to group arrangements and performances.
With the a cappella community growing quickly in Arizona, the presence of eight groups marks the single largest event for the state featuring solely Arizona groups. Two all-female, two all-male and four co-ed groups are represented. University of Arizona groups CatCall A Cappella and Noteriety host.
