On April 20 and 21, Sweet Adelines, women barbershoppers from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia, will heat up the stage at Northern Kentucky Convention Center with two days of a cappella harmonizing, filling the auditorium with ringing chords and the promise of goose bumps for all.

This 2-day event will feature quartets and choruses competing in close harmony while performing songs arranged for four-parts and sung a cappella, presented in costumed, choreographed production numbers.

Both competition sessions are open to the public. Lovers of acappella music will find much to enjoy at Friday’s quartet competition beginning at 1:00 PM. Combinations of tenor, lead, baritone, and bass singers will strive to score points in the categories of Music, Sound, Expression, and Showmanship. Several local women are members of competing quartets.
