Rutgers ShockWave (a new addition to the RU a cappella community, and a 2006 ICCA Mid-Atlantic competitor) will be hosting/performing at a HUGE a cappella benefit concert to aid in Disaster Relief in the Gulf Coast.
The concert will be held THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27TH at 8:30PM.
It will be in Trayes Hall, in the Douglass College Student Center (a part of Rutgers New Brunswick). It is on the corner of George Street and Nichol Avenue. Tickets are $10, and ALL profits (100%) are being donated to the American Red Cross.
Other groups performing: Casual Harmony (a 2006 competitor, and the #2 group in the Mid-Atlantic region during the ICCAs 2005 (also winner of several awards last year). Deep Treble (a former ICCAs finalist, and also award-winning a cappella group). The OrphanSporks (another great Rutgers group with the most recent recording available).
Also featuring A 4 Effort, a talented and funny improvisational comedy troupe.
This is going to be an excellent concert, and it's for a GREAT cause (even though it's not huge in the news, people still need help, and there's something to be said for taking care of others at home!).
PLEASE come out and support! Or, if you cannot, donate money to the American Red Cross anyway.
