Hey there, I'm a senior in high school and my friend and I are starting an a capella group (there is none at our school right now). We're wondering how a capella groups get their arrangements and how we can get our hands on some. Do you guys all write your own arrangements, or is there a website where you can buy them?

Check out mainely a cappella, www.a-cappella.com. They have lots of sheet music and song books in all voicings. Good luck.

they have some Arrangements on this site that are for free and then you could write your own or just search the web here is one site with some good stuff on it http://public.sreal.com:8000/~div/a-cappella-arrangements/

I'm the faculty advisor for a high school group in Poughkeepsie, NY. We buy some arrangements, find some online and work out lots on our own (which is fun but can lead to gaps in chords). I'd be happy to talk with you about what's worked well for us and about pitfalls of high school a cappella. If you're interested.
