In its short (less than 5 year) history, The Academy has earned the reputation as "the small chorus with the big sound", regularly finishing in the top 3 in state-wide Barbershop chorus contests. Based in the Tampa area, we are a 30 man group that competes with (and often out-score) choruses twice our size. We're making a push to be the number 1 chorus in Florida and earn the right to go to the International Contest in California in 2009.
We rehearse Mondays from 7 - 10 p.m. at the Masque Theater in Temple Terrace. Men with singing experience and a love of entertaining are encouraged to come and visit and learn about join our group.
