Ask not what your CASA can do for you... 2006/01/13 17:22 Karma: 18
Volunteerism is a good thing. Without it, many community centers wouldn’t exist,

And, CASA wouldn’t ever be here. Most everything we’ve done over the past 15 years has been due to volunteer’s efforts. The entire board of directors volunteer, and program after program listed at casa.org are a result of nothing but volunteer efforts.

And yet, for all we do, there’s much that remains. We’d like to gather all existing knowledge about contemporary a cappella into a large library and make it available by subject (read how to launch a great spring break tour, watch a video explaining the nuances of female vocal percussion, etc). We’d like to convert a number of existing a cappella recordings into learning CDs, so everyone can learn to sing a cappella by listening (even if they can’t read music). And much, much more.

But we need your help. We’re busy firing on all cylinders here, from creating an all a cappella radio station that will feature original content as well as classic, out-of-print recordings to putting the final touches on the definitive web-searchable a cappella group database.

If you have a love of a cappella and a desire to make a difference, drop me a line and I’ll help find a job for you that matches your interest and fits into our needs.

Thanks!
