Dynamic NYC a cappella Vocal Band is auditioning altos to co-front on lead vocals. We are seeking the following in a candidate:

- Soulful, charismatic lead vocals. Candidate should be able to sing in many styles a la the lead singer in a Top 40 or Corporate/Wedding band.

- Low enough range to sing tenor 1 background parts

- A hip, marketable look.

- MUST be able to blend and tune on complex a cappella background vocals.

- Have a professional, positive, no excuses, “can do” attitude and work ethic.

- Punctual and reliable

- The time and availability to perform regularly and consistently make bi-monthly rehearsals.

The intention of this band is for this to become at least a very nice part time income to supplement our current full-time jobs. All music will be given far enough in advance for it to be learned for rehearsals.

Materials will include PDF sheet music and a vocal learning demo with your part panned hard right and the rest of the parts panned hard left. All music MUST be memorized prior to rehearsals.

The band will rehearse twice a month. Rehearsals will consist of two 3 hour rehearsals. We will be working under a deadline for upcoming performances, most of which will be paying gigs. Only great exposure gigs would possibly be unpaid and few and far between.

Interested candidates should send a recent head shot and resume or a brief summary of your experience. Professional experience is preferred. A cappella experience is a huge plus!
