Sounds of Glory

A Cappella Group

The Sounds of Glory began as a gospel quartet in the fall of 1981. Randy Green called Lanier Stevens and said "Brother Stevens, let's get together and sing ... and do you know of anyone who can sing first tenor." To which Lanier replied, "My cousin, Tex Stevens, is one of the best tenors I know." That phone call began a gospel singing group which has touched the lives of thousands of people. The original group was made up of Randy Green, lead singer; Tex Stevens, first tenor; Lanier Stevens, baritone; and C. D. Davis, bass.
