Application for nominators and judges are due.

If you would like the opportunity to participate in the CARA process, please see the application on this website . You may apply at any time during the year to be a nominator in the upcoming cycle. All applications received after November 15 will be considered for the following year.

December 1

Nominators and judges selected and notified by email. Nominations begin.

Get your album in before December 1 if possible to ensure that it will be available to nominators when they log in to the system for the first time.

December 24

Submission application form is due.

The submission application form on www.carawards.org must be filled out by this date in order to be considered eligible. You may fill out the form at any time before or after submitting your album.

December 31

All album submissions must be received by the CARA administrators.

To be eligible for CARAs, all submission instructions must be completed and albums must be received by this time. Unfortunately, a postmark is not acceptable. Please see submission guidelines for more information.

February 1

Nominations are announced on www.casa.org .

Four to five nominees are announced for each of the awards.

February 15

Judging begins.

Judges log in to the CARA system and begin assessing and ranking the nominees.

April 5

Winners are announced live at BOSS and on www.casa.org.

One winner and one runner-up is announced for each of the awards.

April 8

Certificates mailed.

Certificates are mailed to the addresses on the submission forms for all CARA winners.
