Spiralmouth Lends A Cappella Pizzazz to Crash Bandicoot Video Games

You get some of the zaniest music to ever hit the video game industry, thats what. Spiralmouth provided an a cappella score for the Crash Tag Team Racing video game, which is being released October 18 from Vivendi Universal Games. It is the vocal bands second foray into video game scoring, having previously provided the music for Crash Twinsanity to positive reviews. Spiralmouths video game venture started a few years ago when the group was doing shows in Los Angeles. A producer from Vivendi Universal liked what he saw and asked if Spiralmouth would like to do an a cappella score for a Crash Bandicoot game, band member Gabriel Mann said.

Barbershop Harmony Society Looks To Broaden Membership Through Outreach Effort

If Rob Hopkins had his way, more men of all ages would be singing barbershop harmoniesbut that doesnt mean they would all sound the same. Hopkins is the president of the Barbershop Harmony Society, a non-profit organization that celebrates and preserves the close-harmony barbershop musical style. More than 30,000 men in the United States and Canada belong to the society, and it is currently engaged in an effort to attract even more. The society completed a key marketing study in 2004 and launched its You Can Sing, Too membership campaign throughout its more than 800 chapters in North America.
