In January 2006, two of the best a cappella choruses in the Bay Area joined forces and created Voices in Harmony (VIH). It was clear from the start that this merger of musical talent and experience had the potential to achieve world class status. Led by a world class director, Dr. Greg Lyne, VIH is committed to perform at the highest levels musically, artistically and visually.

Under the leadership of Dr. Lyne, VIH established itself clearly as one of the best men's a capella choruses in the world, by being ranked 7th overall at its first international qualifying contest in October 2006. This was an unprecedented achievement for a chorus having only been in existence for a mere 8 months.

VIH is composed of more than 100 men of all ages who share a desire for fun, friendship and the love of singing. The VIH repertoire of a cappella music includes the genres of adult contemporary, jazz, pop, barbershop and traditional choral music. We are continually broadening our range of music genres and styles to making each and every one of us better vocal musicians. It is a trait of VIH that sets us apart from the rest of the a cappella world.

Even though VIH is based in Silicon Valley, we sing at concerts, benefits and events throughout Northern California. We are available to perform in theatres, conventions, festivals, banquets, political and sporting events. Our annual Spring Concert is a major production featuring our chorus and other musical acts singing songs from a variety of musical genres. Our annual holiday show in December features the wonderful sounds of the season in a concert of sacred and secular musical favorites.

VIH and its quartets also participate in local, regional, and international barbershop singing contests throughout the year. The level of competition is intense by its very nature, but is balanced by our friendships and camaraderie with performers from throughout the USA and the world. There is nothing like the thrill of singing on an international concert stage in front of an audience from around the globe. It's simply exhilarating!
