Vocal Group COSMOS is a union of six professional Latvian musicians who express their music through the greatest instruments that they all posses - their voices. Drawing on its members' professional musical education, the group's output is a fusion of a broad range of musical styles and genres from early and contemporary academic music to folk, jazz and pop.

Acknowledged as the best young Latvian group during the first year of its existence in 2003, Vocal Group COSMOS' first album received an award for the best album of the year and rocketed to platinum status in terms of sales. Cosmos have released three new albums and a live concert DVD since then and they all have been similarly well received both in Latvia and abroad. The group has likewise articulated its fervent passion for early and contemporary academic music. A brief glance at its active music portfolio throws up the music of Perotin, Josquin, Victoria, Ligeti, Bryars, Vasks and Britten. Cosmos have been well received amongst other global a cappella music professionals, and as one of the leading music acts in Latvia are often invited to represent their country internationally.
